History
In November of 2006, a small group of adults in the South Valley met for prayer and Bible Study and decided to pursue the establishment of a new congregation that would serve the South Salt Lake Valley. The Bible Study continued, and the congregation eventually settled on the name, “Gospel Fellowship,” because it so simply represented both its identity and its purpose. On Easter Sunday of 2007, a community event was held in Herriman’s Butterfield Park, and the following Sunday the group began meeting in South Jordan at the Megaplex Theatres at the District. In August of 2008, Gospel Fellowship formed a voluntary alliance with the newly formed Antioch Network of Churches based in Arlington, Texas, and was awarded a grant to move into its own facilities near the I-15 Freeway in South Jordan. Our first service in our new facility was held on Sunday, December 14 at 6pm.
